Frequently Asked Questions
We focus on personalization, health, and accountability. Our programs are tailored to your needs, created by fitness and medical experts, and designed to help you build long-term habits.
Your program is tailored to your needs, whether that’s strength training, mobility, low-impact exercises, or workouts designed to manage health conditions. You’ll also find follow-along video workouts, movement tracking, and community features on the Zazu App.
Because fitness is personal. We all have different goals, health considerations, lifestyles and preferences and cookie cutter approaches are not sustainable or effective. For your programme to work for you, it needs to be curated with you in mind – which is exactly what Zazu does.
On our Zazu App on your phone, tablet, laptop or Smart TV. Zazu is also available on a Web Portal where you can access everything on the app, through your internet browser.
We give you access to both when you join

This means you can join our community page to connect with your fellow Zazu Champions and various groups that interest you like sleep or nutrition, for more information and tips.
If you have other friends or family using Zazu, we can create a private group for you to motivate each other. This group is private to you and not accessible by other members.

Yes. We usually experience sustained results after 12 weeks of consistency. Doing a follow up consultation & fitness analysis every 3 months ensures we keep up with your body’s progress and give you updated programmes accordingly.
No. Access to the App is already included in the membership.
Of course! For those Zazu Champions that use our programmes at home in Nairobi, we have a discounted “starter pack” of equipment you can buy from us when you join which is based on your requirements following the fitness analysis. Your personalised programme will use this equipment.
If you are not comfortable starting out with equipment, we create programmes based on you using your body weight only or holding things you have at home such as food cans or water bottles.
No problem! In fact, a problem people often face is not knowing what to do to in the gym to reach their goals. We bring structure and goal-backed focus to your routines and create programmes based on where you exercise and what you have access to.
Of course! If you are new, our programmes are designed for you as a beginner. We also have introductory videos for every new joiner which cover key principles of exercising and demos. We will also go through your programme with you before you start, so you are comfortable.
If you have certain health issues, we will consider this at your initial consultation. The right exercises can control, and relieve pain, and even overcome many health issues. If we believe our programmes are not able to assist your specific health conditions, we will let you know beforehand.
Our consultations involve 1) a discussion with our nurse, if needed, who takes note of your health status and medical history amongst other things and 2) a fitness analysis with our certified specialist where you will be asked to do some very simple moves for us to gauge your upper and lower body strength, flexibility, balance and stamina.
If you are in Nairobi, we are based at The Promenade Building on General Mathenge Road in Westlands. If you are outside of Nairobi, the consultations will be over Zoom online.
As a Zazu member, you get weekly check-ins for free. These are short phone consultations or Whatsapp Message interchanges between you and your accountability buddy to check your progress, answer any questions you may have and see how you are getting on.
You can review our consultation and membership rates on Our Programmes Page.
